The Falcon And The Bee
Falcons are thought of as a mystery. They exhibit speed and grace. Used since medieval times for hunting, the falcon will always capture what he needs and desires most. Falcons fly faster than any other bird—up to 300 kilometers per hour.
The bee is graceful and lovely to watch as it goes from flower to flower, seeking pollen to share with all of us. They don't fly nearly as fast.
This moment was captured when the falcon noticed the bee and looked straight at it. The bee definitely noticed the falcon. It was as if they were trying to say hello. How are you? What are you doing?
Maybe the bee wanted to ask the falcon how he flies so fast. And maybe, just maybe, the falcon wanted to ask the bee how he could slow down and savor the sweetness of life as the bee does.
It is truly one of my favorite shots. This beautiful moment was captured in seconds before the falcon flew once again.
We can all learn from each other. It matters not who we are or where we come from. We learn from each other, from the animals in nature, and from life itself.
If you are moving at a very fast pace, perhaps it is time to savor the sweetness of life.
When you are at work, savor the fact that you have a job to go to. When you are with friends, family, and loved ones, take in the love and affection that is there for you. When you are in nature, slow down. See it. Feel it.
Life is yours to enjoy and savor.
I know for me, it is the only way to live. Savoring every moment, every breath, and every heartbeat is the path I have decided to be on for the rest of my life.
May you know the sweetness of life, and occasionally slow down so that you can savor every moment.
